APRAM Aerospace heads to MRO Europe in Amsterdam

16.10.2026

Amsterdam's RAI exhibition centre will host MRO Europe, the most important European event focused on the commercial aviation aftermarket, from 27 to 29 October 2026. The programme consists of a two-day conference (27 and 28 October) and an exhibition held on 28 and 29 October. Exhibitors will include the Czech company APRAM Aerospace, which supplies certified spare parts for Airbus A320 Family and A330, Boeing 737CL, 737NG, B757, B767 and B777 as well as Embraer EMB 190/195 aircraft. Visitors will find the company in Hall 1 at stand 1-1060 on both exhibition days.

For APRAM Aerospace, Amsterdam is the final stop of this year's business calendar. The year began in February at MRO Middle East in Dubai, continued in March with the MRO Central Asia conference in Tashkent and in April with the Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg. All three events led to the same conclusion: demand for certified parts for narrowbody fleets is rising in every market, but the number of qualified suppliers is growing more slowly.

"This year we were everywhere the future of fleets is being decided - in Dubai, Tashkent and Hamburg. Amsterdam is the logical conclusion of the whole series. Europe is our home market, and MRO Europe brings together airlines, leasing companies and maintenance organisations from across the continent within just a few days," says Alena Šimečková, Director of APRAM Aerospace.

Why Amsterdam

MRO Europe is organised by Aviation Week Network. This year it expects more than 630 exhibitors and over 11,500 visitors, around 1,200 of whom are buyers from airlines and leasing companies. The conference on 27 and 28 October will focus on supply chain resilience, the shortage of technical personnel, the economics of fleet renewal and the digitalisation of maintenance. These are precisely the topics that will determine which parts European operators will need in the coming years, in what quantities, and what documentation they will require with them.

The Netherlands is also one of the main centres of European MRO. Thanks to the concentration of maintenance capacity, logistics and leasing companies around Amsterdam, two days at the show can settle negotiations that would otherwise take months.

Why now

The European aftermarket is going through a period in which maintenance costs are growing faster than the fleets themselves. According to the consultancy Oliver Wyman, global demand for MRO reached USD 136 billion in 2025, a year-on-year increase of 8 %. In regions with older fleets, which include Western Europe, maintenance spending will grow faster than the number of aircraft.

The reason is a shortage of new aircraft. Airbus and Boeing together hold orders covering more than ten years of production - for the A320 family alone Airbus records over 20,000 orders, while just under 13,000 aircraft have been delivered. Deliveries are slowed by engines, structural parts and a lack of qualified staff, so airlines keep older A320CEO and 737NG aircraft flying longer than they had planned. Every additional year in service means another C-check, further rotable replacements and growing demand for parts whose original suppliers are gradually leaving the market.

At the same time, used serviceable material (USM) is becoming scarcer, because aircraft that would otherwise be parted out remain in operation. The situation is further complicated by the shortage of licensed technicians in European hangars. Waiting times for free maintenance slots are longer, so operators more often reach for ready exchange units instead of repairs on site.

"For a distributor the conclusion is clear: what matters is the quality of the stock and the documentation, not the price. The customer wants the part quickly, with a complete history and from a supplier they trust. In Amsterdam we mainly want to meet European operators and maintenance organisations that deal with the availability of parts for the A320 and 737 every day," adds Milan Kochaň, Sales Director of APRAM Aerospace.

APRAM Aerospace is based in Petřvaldík near Mošnov and holds ISO 9001 certification. It focuses on the supply, exchange and repair of components for civil aircraft and offers round-the-clock AOG support. The company's team will be available at stand 1-1060 throughout the exhibition; a meeting can be arranged in advance at sales@apram.cz.
